Birth Athletics: Pre-Natal and Post Partum Fitness

There is no denying the importance of exercise during pregnancy. Not only can it help alleviate common pregnancy discomforts, but it can also improve overall health and fitness levels for both mother and baby. Many women, however, find that exercising while pregnant is a daunting task – particularly if they are new to fitness or have never exercised before.

At Full Steam CrossFit, we provide specialized pre-natal coaching services tailored to meet the needs of expecting mothers who want to stay active throughout their pregnancies. Our coaches are experienced in helping pregnant women feel comfortable with their changing bodies and engage in safe, physical activity that will benefit both themselves and their babies. We understand that every woman’s experience with pregnancy is unique, so our coaches adjust each workout accordingly based on individual goals, specific medical concerns or restrictions that may be present. 

In addition to providing personalized exercises, our coaches emphasize healthy lifestyle habits such as proper nutrition and hydration (especially important during pregnancy). Stress management techniques like meditation or yoga can also help reduce anxiety associated with carrying a child. We also offer postpartum support programs to help mothers transition back into regular exercise routines safely and effectively after giving birth.

We believe strongly in the value of pre-natal coaching for expecting mothers – not just from a physical standpoint but from an emotional one too! Our team takes pride in creating an inviting atmosphere where women feel supported throughout their pregnancies so they can enjoy the amazing benefits of staying fit without fear or uncertainty about what lies ahead for them and their babies.
